Tifosy Capital & Advisory is seeking a highly motivated Analyst to join its Execution Team and support the business across some of the largest and most complex deals across the professional sports sector.

Tifosy Capital & Advisory is a boutique sports advisory and capital solutions firm established to address the specific needs of stakeholders in the sports industry. The principal activities of Tifosy include operation of: (i) Tifosy Sports Advisory – an industry-leading advisory practice providing bespoke M&A and strategic advisory services to financial sponsors, investors, team owners and executives; and (ii) Tifosy Sports Credit – a private credit platform established with a leading alternative asset manager in order to provide secured lending to the professional sports industry.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for an analyst to join our London office (Tifosy HQ). This role is suitable for a very capable junior professional, who has at least one year of experience, and wants to be part of an innovative and growing firm and to use their skills to make a real impact to the business.

The role will be a full-time position in London as part of the general deal execution team. The role will be supported by the wider Tifosy team (London and Milan) and may involve business travel for specific projects.

WHAT YOU WILL DO?

The role will provide you with exposure to all areas of the Tifosy business and you will work directly with senior team members and management of the firm. As part of this role:

  • you will support the senior members of the advisory execution team and be responsible for matters including, creating and analysing financial models, creating and preparing client presentations and scheduling and attending meetings;
  • you will be responsible for producing sports and financial industry research, benchmarking and investment presentations and for ensuring that documentation produced by the firm office adheres to the highest standards;
  • you will conduct due diligence and help to drive the transaction process on mandates to which you are assigned;
  • you will support the management and administration of M&A and financing transactions;
  • you will assist with business development and the targeting, diligence and pitching of new deal opportunities; and
  • you will stay up to date with market trends and sports regulatory developments to ensure that clients receive the best advice from the firm.
WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ARE REQUIRED?
  • Professional experience – you will have at least one years’ experience in financial services, ideally in TMT, and have been at a top-tier investment bank or other equivalent financial services business. You will understand:
    • due-diligence and transaction execution and the processes involved in buy-side and sell-side M&A, equity and debt financing;
    • financial modelling and building/maintaining/stress testing operating models;
    • how to prepare and maintain industry/company presentations and benchmarking materials and other process documents; and
    • financial valuations including DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions etc.
  • Strong quantitative and technical abilities – You will also have a robust financial and analytical skill set and be capable of applying such skills to financial modelling, accounting and creating presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills – you will be very detail oriented and have the ability to act as a point of contact and take ownership of certain transaction processes.
  • Ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment – you will have an adaptable and flexible approach and understand the importance of commitment and work ethic. You will be able to manage your own time and work on a number of projects and tasks at one time.
  • A self-starter and a problem-solver – you will be capable of using initiative, creating efficient processes and collaborating with teams across the business, including our wider finance and tech teams.
  • Communication skills – you will be fluent in English and preferably one additional European language and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interested in all matters sports and finance – you will have a genuine interest in the sports finance industry and an enthusiasm for the changing landscape of sports, finance and M&A.
