83% of all Crypto sports partnerships have been with four companies

Four brands have accounted for more than 4 in 5 sports #crypto partnerships since 2018, with the top two being #fantoken operators Socios and Bitci, which have agreed partnerships with 48 sports franchises between them.

29 partnerships have been agreed with cryptocurrencies and exchanges such as Crypto.com, which will take over the naming rights of the Staples Center venue in Los Angeles from 25 December; and Binance, which has also issued fan tokens with three football clubs to date.

Activity in the crypto space is expected to grow rapidly in 2022, including agreements in the NFT space. The first such sponsor is Sportemon Go, a game which allows users to hunt for NFTs of sports stars.
