Payment Methods

What payment methods are accepted?

There are five ways in which you may choose to pay for an investment. However, please be aware that not all payment methods may be accepted for all type of investments or functions available on the Tifosy Investment Platform.

Card:

Tifosy uses a third-party payment provider Stripe to process debit and credit card payments made through the Tifosy investment platform. You will not be charged any payment processing fees but the use of a debt or credit card may incur charges for the issuer.

Unfortunately, it will not be possible to fund your Tifosy Wallet using a credit card and certain debt based offers made available on Tifosy may also prohibit the use of credit card for payment.

You should be aware that whilst credit cards can be useful for short-term borrowing, you should only use a credit card to pay for an investment if you can afford to repay this debt without relying on any returns associated to the investment you are making.

Tifosy does not limit the amount you may invest using either a debit or credit card, however your bank or credit card provider may set limits and you may need to contact your provider before using your card to successfully pay for an investment.

Bank Transfer:

To pay for an investment or make a deposit into your Tifosy Wallet via bank transfer, you will need to contact your bank and arrange for the transfer of funds to the account details provided to you at the end of the investment or deposit process. Please ensure that you include your payment reference as part of the transfer as this will help us identify your payment.

Cheque:

To pay for an investment via cheque, you must fill out the cheque in accordance with the instructions provided at the end of the investment process and send it to the address provided on the same screen. Please ensure that you include your payment reference on the back of the cheque as this will help us identify your payment.

Tifosy Wallet:

To pay for an investment via your Tifosy Wallet, you must have sufficient funds in your Tifosy Wallet to pay for the investment in full. You will be able to select this payment method from the payment screen of the investment process. If you do not have sufficient funds you will need to top up your Tifosy Wallet from within your Tifosy profile before proceeding.

Tifosy IFISA:

To pay for an investment via your Tifosy IFISA, you must have sufficient funds in your Tifosy IFISA (which you can establish as part of the investment process). This payment method applies only to eligible UK taxpayers and the administration of your IFISA is subject to the ISA regulations of HMRC.

To add funds to your Tifosy IFISA, you may use any of the payment methods above or you may choose to transfer funds in from an existing ISA that you hold with another ISA Manager. You will be able to select this as your payment method and you will be provided with further instructions on how to proceed when adding funds to your Tifosy IFISA.
